One New Man Asia

We are a Christian ministry with a vision to help restore the church's connection with her roots in Israel and yet maintain our identity as Gentile believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The book of Ephesians tells us in chapter 2:14-15 that Jesus came to break down the middle wall of separation between Jew and Gentile and make them both “One New Man in Him”.

One New Man Asia is a ministry dedicated to helping the church in Asia, especially Pastors and leaders, to understand the heritage that we Christians have received through the nation of Israel and God’s plan concerning the Church and Israel in the last days. We are based in Singapore but have ministered in many places in Asia.

We achieve our goals through various means. In Singapore we do the following:

1. We network with other churches and ministries to bring Bible based teaching regarding the church’s relationship with Israel at their services, cell group meetings etc.

2.  We hold modular teaching sessions that are open to believers from every church, denomination etc.

3. We hold special events in co-operation with other churches and ministries, such as celebrating the Feasts of the Lord, to help the believer get more connected with our Hebraic heritage.

4. We also envisage partnering with other members of the body of Christ in Singapore to organize conferences and seminars with speakers from Israel and other nations.

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS

Pastors Gilbert and Almena Carthigasu officially began this ministry in 2007. They met while they were serving with Youth With A Mission in the Philippines in 1988 and were married in 1989, and have three children. Pastor Gilbert began ministry with the Foursquare Church of Singapore in 1988, reaching out to Filipino workers here.

They started the Filipino ministry in the Foursquare Church of Singapore and were the Pastors of Shekinah (Foursquare) Church since its inception in 1994 unitl June 2014.  Pastor Gilbert also served as the National Representative for the Foursquare Church of Singapore from 2007 to 2011.  In 2014, at the Lord's bidding, they handed over Shekinah Church and stepped out in faith to work full-time with this ministry

They were introduced to the Hebraic Roots of Christianity in 1999 through a Passover Seder conducted by Rev. Joel Baker. From that time they developed a love for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people.

To better equip himself for this ministry Pastor Gilbert attended the School of Jewish Studies conducted by YWAM in Richmond Virginia in 2006.

Although the ministry officially began in 2007, Pastor Gilbert has been conducting One New Man conferences in many nations in Asia since 2003.

THE FEASTS OF THE LORD

Every year we do our best to observe the Biblical Feasts of the Lord given in the book of Leviticus; these being Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. We endeavour to work with churches and other ministries to hold these celebrations.

DAY TO PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM

 One New Man Asia is also the Singapore coordinator for the International Day to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. This is an annual event led by Dr. Robert Stearns and Dr. Jack Hayford. Asia Messianic Forum

One New Man Asia, is also part of a fellowship of ministries in Asia and Israel called The Asia Messianic Forum. This group was started by believers in Japan who have been praying for Israel since 1930. The first conference was held in Japan in 2009 and then moved from nation to nation. We had the privilege of hosting this conference in Singapore in 2013.
